The purpose of this report is to evaluate the school trip to Berlin.

On Sunday the 14^th of May we left by bus to Berlin. We left from school at 8 a.m. It became a bus journey of 11 hours with a number of stops. At 7 p.m. We arrived at our hostel, the AOW hostel in Berlin. We went to our rooms and unpacked our suitcase. I shared my room with Cato and Margot. We ate at the hostel that evening and then took a short walk through the beautiful city.

The next morning we had to gather outside at 8 o’clock in the morning. We went walking to a stasi-prison. We were given a tour of the prison. A fierce but impressive story was told.

Around 11 a.m. we were back at the hostel and at 12 o’clock we left by bus. We went on a bus tour through all the highlights in Berlin. Such as The Berlin Wall, Holocaust Monument, Checkpoint Charlie and much more!  The bus tour was very nice and beautiful! We had free time from 5 to 7 p.m. in the centre of Berlin. Shopping!!  That evening we ate at an American restaurant: Andy’s dinner and bar. We ate a cheeseburger and an ice cream for dessert.

The next day, at half past nine, we were already at the natural history museum. A very impressive museum, where you can see, what the tyrex and other animals from ancient times looked like! Then we had free time again and that evening we went bowling. We ate there too.

On April 17^th  we left to a concentration camp. I will definitely recommend you to go there! It is certainly very educational. This gives you a good impression of what it was like at the time of the war and what these people experienced.

That afternoon we went to the old national gallery. This is a museum of art from the 19th century. So if you are interested in modern art, is this museum perfect to go to! That last evening we ate at an Italian pizza restaurant on the Alexanderplatz.
April 18, we had to be outside at half past seven with our suitcases.  We were going back to our homes.  At 7 p.m. , we arrived at school again.
