The main character, August Pullman,  is a boy with a deviation. His face looks different from the faces of other people. People were scared when they see him and that’s why he always wore a helmet. Auggie, his nickname, was home-schooled by his mother, played by Julia Roberts, but when he was 10 years old he had to go to school, even though he didn’t want to. After he has been given a tour through the school, it seems to be quite nice. After a few days of school he got 2 friends named Summer and Jack. But certainly not everyone liked him. He was bullied, scolded and the pupils pretended that his deviation was contagious and avoided him.  At the end of the year they went to school camp. They got into a fight with some pupils from another school. But then Julian came, Auggie’s biggest bully.

The story takes place at the Beecher prep school in Brooklyn. The main characters are 10 and 11 years old. Nearly of all of the characters are given backstories. This makes the movie more interesting and fun to watch.

I really like this movie and the meaning behind this story.  The movie makes you think. Namely, you should not bully and judge people based on their appearance. Everyone is unique. I think this makes the movie even more interesting. The story is also very heart-warming, this ensures that I wanted to continue watching the movie.

I really recommend watching this movie. Not only because the film is very nice, beautiful and heart-warming, but also because it is very educational.
